Children update

Lucy is cute, but quite opinionated.
She insists on wearing the too-small Sunday coat and hat whenever we go to church. This coat and hat were mine when I was younger than Lucy is now.
Lucy also likes to imitate me. Here she is feeding her doll in my glider, complete with the blanket I use to keep my feet warm and a book to read.
Henry is 4 months old here. He weighs 16 lbs. and is amazingly cute and cheerful. He has started to grab for toys and loves to make loud sounds.
Edward saw the April issue of the Friend magazine and requested that I make "bunny buns" for General Conference. So we had bunny buns for breakfast on Sunday. They turned out nicely.

A birthday party

We had a birthday party for Andrew (turning 7) and Edward (turned 5). Thankfully I had a lot of help from Kirk, Becky, Ryan, and another mom who stayed with her children. We had about 17 children, counting our own, of course.
A few days later, we had Andrew's real birthday party. He was happy with his dinosaur cake (carrot cake, cream cheese frosting, and a dinosaur skull stenciled on the top).
I was pleased with how the cake turned out since I had to figure out what a T-Rex skull looked liked and create it. Originally, Andrew wanted an "atomic bomb" cake, but we nuked that idea. It was too violent.
Kirk came up with the idea of a dinosaur cake.

Flattery

For career day in first grade, Andrew decided to be a "political scientist." Kirk was pleased. Here Andrew is all dressed up as a professor/political scientist.
