We were sort of busy with different activities the past two weeks, including the funeral of our neighbor who was like another great-grandfather to the children. We got to attend the
Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. It was a great experience (and a much shorter tour than the Draper Utah Temple Open House).

We had a fun 4th of July with a parade and fireworks.

The cousins were mostly scared of the fireworks, though by the end they watched most of them.

We even had some family swimming time and fun with the extended Wessman family.

Lucy, as always, was cute.

We attended the funeral for a neighbor who was like another great-grandfather to the children. This is a 2007 photo at our home on his birthday. He was declining in health and his wife had passed away three years ago, so the funeral wasn't terribly sad. Everyone was glad he didn't have to suffer more and he could now be with his wife and other family members.

We might not have many posts for the next two weeks since we are going on a trip to Washington state to visit Kirk's family.
That's a nice picture of you, Eliza, from your visit to the temple open house. It's fun (as always) to see the cute kids. We hope you have a great trip!
ReplyDeleteGood luck packing and getting ready for the trip! Your children sure are beautiful- especially Lucy!
